CROSSFIT

four people on rowing machines

Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied, functional movements, executed at high intensity,” our CrossFit program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. For this 1-hour class, you could be working on pull-ups, rowing, burpees and much more. Every WOD is different so you never get bored! We scale each workout to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time.

YOGA

Why Yoga???

The practice of Yoga truly is the “yin” to the CrossFit “yang”. They are more complimentary than you might think. CrossFit challenges athletes by constantly varying functional movements at a high intensity – Yoga provides the opportunity to stretch, rest and recover.

As a former {and future} crossfiter, I have experienced first-hand the benefits of combining the two practices…and so has my husband, Dustin. 😉 Along with the most obvious benefit of flexibility, Yoga also teaches athletes how to manage/deepen their breath, increase stability and core strength, improve balance and peace of mind, and works wonders for increasing range of motion.

Stretching before and after your WOD will help, but a weekly Yoga practice is much more fun (truly!) than the isolated stretching exercises you do on your own. Not only will better flexibility and mobility reduce your risk of injury, it can also increase your CrossFit performance.

I look forward to seeing you on the mat!
